High-sensitivity optics. Up to 20 hours of battery life. Proven field experience.
The PATRIOT 2 L50 is a thermal imaging monocular designed for extended observation in demanding conditions. It combines an ultra-sensitive sensor, germanium optics, integrated navigation features, video recording, and password protection. Together, these capabilities help users see more detail, operate longer between charges, and access useful information while observing.
Ultra-sensitive sensor: distinguish subtle temperature differences
The PATRIOT 2 L50 features a 384 × 288 VOx thermal sensor with NETD ≤18 mK. This low NETD value enables the sensor to distinguish subtle temperature differences and reveal more scene detail when thermal contrast is weak.
This sensitivity is particularly valuable when an object and its surroundings have similar temperatures, helping preserve useful visual information for careful observation.
Germanium objective lens: purpose-built thermal optics
The PATRIOT 2 L50 is equipped with a 50 mm F0.9 germanium objective lens. Germanium transmits the long-wave infrared radiation detected by the thermal sensor. Combined with a sensitive sensor, these optics help capture subtle thermal differences.
Image quality comes from the optical system as a whole: the objective lens, sensor, and image processing work together to produce a detailed thermal image.
Up to 20 hours of operation: endurance for extended observation
Up to 20 hours of battery life supports extended outings and observation sessions with less dependence on charging.
An intelligent battery indicator complements this endurance, helping users monitor battery status and plan recharging in advance. This gives users greater confidence when managing the device’s available power.
Actual operating time depends on temperature, settings, and the use of additional features.
Navigation and environmental information in one device
Integrated GPS, a compass, an azimuth display, and altitude and temperature sensors supplement the thermal image with useful information.
GPS helps users determine their location, while the compass and azimuth display indicate the direction of observation. Altitude and temperature readings provide additional context about operating conditions. These features reduce the need to consult separate devices during observation.
AI-assisted rangefinder: added distance awareness
The intelligent rangefinder uses artificial intelligence algorithms to estimate the distance to an observed object. This adds distance information to the thermal image, helping users better assess the scene.
Password protection: control access to your device
Password protection restricts unauthorized use of the monocular. Owners can secure access to the device—a useful feature during storage and transport, or if the device is lost.
64 GB of memory: preserve your observations
64 GB of internal memory allows users to save photos and videos directly on the monocular.
Recorded material can be reviewed after an observation session, used for analysis, and shared with others. Recording helps preserve details that may otherwise be difficult to recall.
Video streaming: connect to a computer or smartphone
The PATRIOT 2 L50 supports video transmission via cable and Wi-Fi, with connectivity to Windows, Android, and iOS devices through compatible software.
Displaying the image on an external screen makes shared viewing, documentation, and discussion of observations more convenient.
Two eyecups included
The package includes a standard eyecup and a “cat’s eye” eyecup, allowing users to choose the option that best suits their viewing conditions and personal preferences.
Operational experience in Ukraine
The PATRIOT 2 L50 is used by personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and has seen use in combat conditions. For professional users, this provides meaningful context: the device is used in an environment where endurance, ease of operation, and practical functionality matter.
Why choose the PATRIOT 2 L50?
Its strength lies in the combination of capabilities within a single monocular. An ultra-sensitive sensor and germanium objective lens support image quality, up to 20 hours of battery life enables extended operation, integrated sensors provide additional information, and password protection helps control access.
Recording to 64 GB of internal memory, video streaming, and two included eyecups complete a feature set designed for everyday professional use.
