Designed for hunting, predator control, security, and professional outdoor applications.
The NVECTECH DEFENDER 660L is a flagship thermal scope designed for wide-area observation, long-range target identification, and precise distance measurement in darkness, low visibility, and challenging weather conditions. It combines a high-resolution 640 × 512 VOx detector, dual-field 20/60 mm optics, an integrated laser rangefinder, a high-resolution AMOLED display, navigation sensors, recording capabilities, and advanced adjustment features in a durable aluminum-alloy housing.
High-Resolution Thermal Sensor
The 640 × 512 VOx microbolometer features a 12 μm pixel pitch, a 50 Hz frame rate, and NETD of ≤20 mK @ 300 K. The higher sensor resolution provides greater thermal detail and improved scene readability across wide observation areas and at extended distances.
The 8–14 μm spectral range supports detailed thermal imaging in darkness and difficult environmental conditions.
20/60 mm Dual-Field Optics
The rotating dual-field optical system switches between 20 mm and 60 mm focal lengths. The 20 mm setting provides 1.1× optical magnification and a wide 21.7° × 17.4° field of view for scanning large areas.
The 60 mm setting provides 3.2× optical magnification and a focused 7.3° × 5.9° field of view for detailed observation at longer distances. Both optical positions use an F1.0 aperture.
Continuous digital zoom from 1.0× to 4.0× provides additional magnification in either optical setting.
Detection and Recognition
DEFENDER 660L provides a detection range of up to 3,600 meters and a recognition range of up to 2,000 meters. Picture-in-picture mode allows closer examination while maintaining awareness of the wider field of view.
Integrated Laser Rangefinder
The integrated laser rangefinder measures distances of up to 1,200 meters, providing additional distance information during long-range observation.
GEO Dot Location Function
The GEO Dot function uses positioning, orientation, and distance information to determine and display the coordinates of a selected observation point. These coordinates can also be saved for later reference.
AMOLED Display
The 0.39-inch AMOLED display has a resolution of 1024 × 768. Diopter adjustment from −5 to +5 and 45 mm eye relief support comfortable viewing and individual adjustment.
Adjustment and Reticle System
The scope supports automatic and manual adjustment, five adjustment profiles, and 13 reticle options. Available reticle colors include black, white, yellow, blue, green, red, and automatic mode. The system is rated for a maximum recoil force of 10,000 J.
Integrated Functions
DEFENDER 660L includes an AI rangefinder, ballistic calculator, gyroscope, GPS, compass, azimuth sensor, altitude sensor, temperature sensor, CSFBC functionality, RAV, and OSD recording.
Recording and Connectivity
The device provides 64 GB of storage for photos, video recording with audio, and playback. Wireless communication operates in access-point mode. USB Type-C supports data transmission and connection to a compatible eyepiece.
Extended Battery Life
Two replaceable 18650 batteries provide at least 16 hours of operating time, supporting extended observation sessions and convenient battery replacement.
Durable Aluminum-Alloy Construction
The aluminum-alloy body is rated IP67 for protection against dust and water. The device is designed to withstand drops from a height of up to one meter and operates at temperatures from −25°C to +50°C.
Dimensions
With the bracket installed, the device measures 379 × 100 × 110 mm.
